Warwick Squash has been running since well, a long time, and the pattern has barely changed: someone teaches you, you get decent enough to teach someone else, and one year later you are the person holding the clipboard at a taster session.
We run 8 BUCS teams and beginners coaching with equal seriousness. The mission is simple — keep squash available, keep it welcoming, and keep our reputation as the best circle on campus.
Six pounds a year if you are already in a sports club, free tasters, borrowed rackets. Cost should never be the reason someone does not play.
8 BUCS teams with real training and real selection — and no expectation that everyone wants that.
Socials, tours, charity events and box leagues. Most members never play a league fixture and are no less part of the community.
Elected every spring, all of them students, all of them contactable. If something about the club is not working, one of these is the person to tell.
President
Third year maths and physics. Committed to making sure squash stays fun, competitive and social. Has been hit by a squash racket in both eyes (we hope not at the same time).
Vice President
Fourth year mechanical engineering student. Over a decade experience playing squash and looking forward to the many squash events to come. Apparently you can see him on Google Earth but, as we haven’t found him yet, he could be lying.
Treasurer
Third year maths student and famously starred in a YouTube video with over 14 million views. His role: baby.
Secretary
Second year cyber security student, basically tech support for squash. Not very good at squash and if you see me playing tennis (my first love) don’t tell anyone. Joe will tell you I play guitar and I once busked for a group of nuns in Barcelona.
Women’s officer
Second year fashion and development student biochem student. In charge of making sure that the women’s community within squash is thriving. Unsure whether this is really a fun fact or just embarrassing but in any case Sofia claimed 100% Neon attendance for the first term of last year. Well done Sofia.
Social Sec
Second year history student who, despite doing a facts based degree, struggles to remember the 2-3 variations of the game bottle at circles. Gave me a boring fact about climbing mountains so instead I can tell you that he has broken every record for the number of mozzarella packets bought while on holiday.

Second year economics and spanish student - the second half of jocas, your social secs (although the only one of the two that can actually play squash well). If you didn’t know, Lucas speaks spanish. Don’t worry though because he will be sure to tell you anyway.
Women’s BUCS Captain
Second year chemistry student. While she is incredibly excited to get to know and chat to everyone this year, she also wins the prize for giving the worst fun fact out of everyone: "I got voted the keenest fresher".
Men’s BUCS Captain
Second year economics student travelling all the way here from Spain. He plays on the Spanish National Squash Team and he is very much looking forward for the upcoming BUCS successes this season.
Warwickshire Captain
Third year mechanical engineering student. A big fan of success, memories and circling, he will be first to let you know that he has been playing squash for ten years and is still rubbish.
Dev. Squad Captain
Second year accounting and finance student who is committed to bringing more BUCS and Warwickshire coaching and general experience to anyone who wants it. He may love squash but he will always, always prefer a nap.
Competition Sec
Second year maths and physics student who will be running all the competitions this year. Enjoys some scuba off the squash court and is qualified to dive over thirty metres.

Second year GSD and Business student. Apart from playing squash in more countries (having managed three so far), he is looking forward to hosting inter-uni: the biggest competition of the year.
Charities and Welfare
Second year economics student who will be working alongside all the squashies to host engaging charity events all year long. Although a lethal weapon (black belt in karate), he is the person to go to with any issues you may have.
Tour Sec
Third year maths and philosophy student who (for a reason we cannot understand) only wears old squash shoes. He will be in charge of organising both the domestic and international tours and, from his famous exections presentation, they will be "unreal".
Event co-ordinator
Second year physics student and you can be sure that he will be bringing the best events you’ve ever seen to this amazing squash community. While last (not least) on this list he is FIRST on the squash ladder.
